    In this video, Dr. Berg talks about this powerful yet simple concept of it’s not lose weight to get healthy, it’s get healthy to lose weight. Focusing on losing weight first, you may or may not end up healthy and you may or may not lose weight initially. Healthy people don’t actually became overweight at the first place. He also talks about the importance of the concept of focusing on health first then the weight loss.

    3. I’m a ESRD patient. I can’t lose any weight. My blood work is great. Everytime I do excercise like walking but especially water aerobics and swimming I gain weight. It is about to drive me crazy. A lot of patients are in wheel chairs. So I am blessed. With proper rest I can drive myself to the pool and work out several hours on non dialysis days. Dr Berg, does this video apply to me as well? Despite my PKD? I would say I am as healthy as possible with a genetic disorder.

    8. Dr Berg, there are very few videos out there for people who are underweight. Is being underweight also a sign of being unhealthy? Why not make a video on health aspects for those, and advice on how to figure out if gaining weight is what is needed? Does it also go the other way, “get healthy to gain the weight”?

    9. Fasting punched holes in my gut, gave me leaky gut; so ask him, where does all the gastric acids go when you are hungry and dont eat, and what does it digest instead.

I made new holes on my belt cause my trouser was about to fall off, lol! Now my question is how can I gain good muscle weight without belly fat? Increases a little bit carbs, protein or fats?

It took me three months to loss 10 pounds, but everything else was great, I was feeling great, no hunger, no craving…etc. So thanks again. I am definitely continue with my keto and IF. 👍🙏

I have had really normal blood sugar 80-82 for decades but I am now extremely overweight and am dealing with leg ulcers which correlate with a diabetic but the doctor is looking everywhere but insulin. So I am basing my health on insulin levels which 5 years ago were 6 then 11 then 16. Each year going higher as I felt worse and worse. I brought my insulin levels to my doctors attention and he said said no it’s still within range that’s not the problem. It is now down to 4.4 and my A1C improved. I think I’m on my way to health first then the weight. Thank you Dr. Berg for helping me focus on getting my body healthy so the weight will follow.

    18. Thank you, Dr. Berg! When I began my journey nearly a year ago, THAT was my focus. I needed to heal my body, get healthy, to lose the weight. Using the tools and awesome, SCIENTIFIC advice you provide, I’ve done just that. Yes, the weight loss has been a bonus but the benefits of IF and keto go far beyond that. The biggest thing for me was removing the inflammation in my body and healing my gut.

    19. Appreciate all your videos…. just turned 65 and people say look like 40!! Think it’s because of this Keto way of life. Just wish I could lose some more weight …10-15 lbs….. I somehow can’t give up any more food! I do IF……. and if hungry in between I have a hard boiled egg or 2 … or a piece of cheese or a few good nuts! Sometimes depending on how hard I’m working, I will have a kale shake with Dr Bergs kale shake with almond milk. Wonder what else I can do?

I heard what you said about whole wheat/wheat and normally i would be bloated But my stomach has NO bloating and is soft it’s never soft. Holy smokes eggs and bacon without toast is doable for these instant resaults ,i skipped BB&J on toast last night too. Thanks.

    21. So true Dr. Berg. This is the underlying problem that slows everybody down. They are always trying to treat symptoms whether it is a headache or shoulder pain, diabetes or stubborn weight. the solution like you say is ALWAYS to GET HEALTHY and the rest will follow. Health is chemical, structural and emotional, and there is only one goal in true health care – to restore the body to normal.

    22. Dr Berg you hit the nail on the head as always. I’ve been sticking to Keto plus intermittent fasting, I’m now into my fifth week and the weight has started to drop. I’m almost one size down but I now understand that the foundation had to be strong inside before I can expect anything to start shifting. I was down for the first few weeks, watched your videos for guidance, worked on fixing my adrenals and strengthening my muscles through nutrition amongst a few other things and I’m now seeing the benefits.     23. This is a huge problem in the medical world. People are always told they have to lose weight in order to get healthy.

      Overweight is looked at as a cause of bad health while it is in fact the other way around,.. it’s a symptom.

      It’s like saying your car stopped working because you put 10 people in a 4 seat car while it actually stopped working because you never changed the oil.

    24. I started this journey March 26th this year…I decided at that moment I didn’t care how long it took I was focusing on my health. I keep watching, learning. I love this way of eating. In a bit over 2 Months I’m down 13 pounds..i could have said “Only” but I have also lost close to 15 inches…I have had some “oops” I stay focused…its all moving in the right direction. As a matter of fact hit a new number that haven’t seen in 4 years on the scale! I’m totally in this all the way 😍

    27. So, I slowly adapted a keto diet from July to November of last year, was OMAD for 2 months and finally in ketosis, then had zero energy so started eating more fruit. Now I eat mostly ketogenic, with carby meals once every 1-2 weeks. I gain weight when I IF, both muscle and fat. I have not lost any weight since the first 5lbs, and I am actually 5lbs heavier than when I start almost a year ago. Is it really possible that I am still not healthy (so I can’t drop the weight)? I keep eating this way because EVERYTHING else is so much better, but c’mon already. It’s really frustrating when everyone else is dropping pounds.

    28. Dr Berg, I have been doing the keto and fasting for 8 months now. I lost a lot of weight, mostly fat 50 pounds. I now have been suffering for right shoulder pain and neck pain. Would you gallbladder formula fix this pain or should I see a doctor ?

    29. Hello Dr Berg. An English nutritionist youtuber said that animal meat is inflamatory because it is acidic. She is vegan and does not recommend eating meat. Could you give some information about that. Thank you.

I don´t see any weightloss results yet after 2 weeks, but I definitely don´t crave certain foods and I can easily wait at least 6-8 hours until my next meal. I´m more relaxed and I sleep better. So I think I´m doing everything right?! 🙂
